Hair Care
Hair Fall is so common now a days.
Many causes are there for this:
1. Tension, Fear, Anxiety
2. Vitamin deficiency
We have to take zinc and protein to make hair stronger and healthy.
Recommended diet:
1. Almonds
2. Fish / Eggs (for zinc)
3. Curd
Homeopathy has very good remedies for this.
We have different remedy for different causes of hair fall
a. Baryta carbonica -- hair fall in young people
b. Phosphoricum Acidum -- hair fall due to tension and anxiety
c. Lycopodium
It's better to consult homeopathy doctor once.
Hair is composed almost entirely of a protein called keratin, which is why it is important to take enough protein in your diet to prevent hair damage. The pigment eumelanin is what gives black colour to hair, whereas pigment pheomelanin gives it yellow (blonde) or red colour.
All hair follicles are formed while the baby is in the uterus in its embryo stage. No new follicle is produced after birth. Each follicle is capable of producing 20-30 hairs, in a lifetime, with each hair having a life cycle of 3-5 years.
Hair grows at the rate of half an inch per month. It grows fastest in summers and slowest in winters, and grows best between the ages of 15 to 30. The total length to which hair can grow is genetically determined and therefore everyone cannot grow hair to the same length.Hair disorders are those, which are characterised by hair loss well in excess of the normal 50-100 hair strands per day. In certain cases even though the hair loss is within normal limits, for various reasons the body stops growing new hair, leading to a gradual state of baldness.
Types of hair disorders
The most common hair disorders are: -
Male Pattern Baldness
Also known as Androgenetic Alopecia, it is the most common cause of baldness seen in men characterized by typical pattern of receding hairline and hair thinning on the crown. It is the cause for hair loss in about 90% of the men of which 35% men affected are in the 30's. This percentage increases with age.
How to identify Male Pattern Baldness?
Excessive loss of hair
Hairline recedes from the front
Bald patch on the top of the scalp
No hair loss from the sides.
How does it happen?
Hormonal-Men have the male hormone- Testosterone that is responsible for hair growth all the body even on the scalp. But when this hormone is converted into DHT it causes hair loss on the scalp especially from the top and the front
Genetic 80% of balding men have a balding father
Other factors affecting hair loss:
Poor circulation: A study of young men diagnosed with male pattern baldness showed that the blood flow to their scalps was on average 2.6 times lower than in a control group. Follicles that are constantly deprived of blood, and therefore nutrients, cannot produce hair properly.
Smoking: Nicotine (tobacco) sensitizes hair follicles to the effects of hormones leading to increased hair loss.
Mental stress: there is increased hair loss when an individual is highly stressed (exact cause not known)
Dandruff: Is inflamed flaky skin that hinders proper circulation and nutrition to the hair thereby causing increased hair loss
Nutrition: Hair loss can be caused either due to inadequate diet or poor absorption of nutrients from the food.
Female Pattern Baldness (Alopecia Diffuse)
Alopecia Areata

Intervention radiology
It's great boon for all mankind.
Using this technique Intervention radiologist can reach any part of body through your blood vessels.
This technique reduces the hospitalization duration, as there is no cut on body.
Using this technique we can cure following diseases:
1. varicose veins
2. stem cell therapy
3. brain surgery(to remove blockages)
4. blood leakage in lungs
without this technology all above operation become risky.
Varicose veins / blood leakage in lungs
Procedure:
Intervention radiologist reach up to the vein which is leaky using IMR images.
If vein is leaky they fill it with glue
If vein get narrowed they put a stunt at that place.

A proper diabetic diet
A proper diabetic diet includes a balance of high protein, low fat and complex carbohydrates like whole grain cereals, whole
wheat flour and vegetables which are digested more slowly and ,therefore, don't cause rapid rise in blood sugar.
Foods with low glycaemic index that increase the blood sugar gradually are recommended for diabetics.
Foods with low glycaemic index include:
Bitter gourd ( karela ), leafy vegetables, papaya, orange, lentils and legumes with skin intact, whole grain cereals, bran,
pulses, sprouted moong and grams.
Fenugreek ( methi ) seeds contain an alkoloid called trigonelline, which lowers blood sugar, and prevents diabetes induced
cataract. It also lowers cholestrol and triglycerides.
Bitter gourd juice is a popular remedy for diabetics in tropics. 50ml karela juice daily improve blood glucose tolerance in
non-insulin dependent diabetics.
60gm of dietary fibre is beneficial for diabetics as it delays carbohydrate absorption, slows down the rise of blood sugar and
so reduce the drug requirement.
Complex cereals like whole wheat, whole wheat noodles, bajra, jowar, ragi, wheat bran, rice bran and barley are all rich in fibre.
Dals like tur, moong, rajma, are recommended as are vegetables like cabbage, brinjal, cluster beans, spinach and methi.
Choose fruits with low sugar and high water content like water melon and pineapple but only one serving of fruit at a time.
Off the menu:
Following foods escalates the blood sugar levels almost instantly.
Deep fried and high fat foods like meat, eggs and diary.
Honey, jaggery, jam, refined sugar and jellies.
Alcohol
Desserts chocolates, puddings, pies and ice cream.

E-mail received from a person working in a Software Company
Dear colleagues, I am working in Blore Software City ... I wanted to share an incident of my life with you, hoping that it may be an eye opener to you so that you can live more years.
On 27th October afternoon, I had severe heart attack symptom and I was rushed to the hospital.
After reaching to the hospital, the doctors prescribed a test called angiogram. This test is basically to identify blood flow of heart arteries. When they finished the test they found a 94% block in the main artery, please see the image below with red circle.
At this point, I wanted to share my living style, which has caused this block in my heart arteries. Please see the below points of my life style, if any of these points are part of your life style then you are at risk, please change yourselves.
1. I was not doing any physical exercise for more than 10 years , not even walking 30 minutes a day for years .
2. My food timings are 11:00 AM Breakfast or no Breakfast, 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM Lunch and dinner at 11:00 PM to 12:00 AM.
3. Sleeping in very odd timings, going to bed between 12:00 AM and 3:00 AM. Waking up at between 9:00 AM and 10:30AM ...... Some times spending sleepless nights.
4. I used to eat heavily because of long gaps between lunch and dinner and I used to make sure that Non-Veg is available most of the time, there were times when I did survey on city hotels to find delicious Non-Veg dishes. I was never interested in vegetable and healthier food.
5. Above all I was chain smoker from years.
6. My father passed away due to heart problems, and the doctors say the heart problems are usually genetic.
Once they identified the major block they have done immediately a procedure called angioplasty along with 2 Stints, mean they will insert a foreign body into the heart arteries and open the blocked area of arteries. Please see the below image after the procedure.
I learnt from the doctors that 60% people will die before reaching the hospital, 20% people will die in the process of recovering from heart attack and only 20% will survive . In my case, I was very lucky to be part of the last 20%.
Doctors instructions:
1. Need to have physical exercise for minimum of 45 minutes daily.
2. Eat your food at perfect timings , like how you eat during your school days. Eat in small quantities more times and have lot of vegetables and boiled food, try to avoid fry items and oily food. Fish is good than other non-vegetarian food.
3. Sleep for 8 hours a day, this count should complete before sun rising.
4. Stop smoking.
5. Genetic problems, we cannot avoid but we can get away from it by having regular checkups.
6. Find a way to get relived from the stress (Yoga, Meditation etc).
So I urge you all to please avoid getting into this situation, it is in your hands to turn the situation up side down, by just planning / changing your life style, by following simple points above. Because life is wealth and GOD gives you life only once. I pray to GOD that no one should face this situation.

Brain Damaging Habits
1. No Breakfast
People who do not take breakfast are going to have a lower blood sugar level.
This leads to an insufficient supply of nutrients to the brain causing brain degeneration.
2. Overeating
It causes hardening of the brain arteries, leading to a decrease in mental power.
3. Smoking
It causes multiple brain shrinkage and may lead to Alzheimer disease.
4. High Sugar consumption
Too much sugar will interrupt the absorption of proteins and nutrients causing malnutrition and may interfere with brain development.
5. Air Pollution
The brain is the largest oxygen consumer in our body. Inhaling polluted air decreases the supply of oxygen to the brain, bringing about a decrease in brain efficiency.
6. Sleep Deprivation
Sleep allows our brain to rest. Long term deprivation from sleep will accelerate the death of brain cells.
7. Head covered while sleeping
Sleeping with the head covered, increases the concentration of carbon dioxide and decrease concentration of oxygen that may lead to brain damaging effects.
8. Working your brain during illness
Working hard or studying with sickness may lead to a decrease in effectiveness of the brain as well as damage the brain.
9. Lacking in stimulating thoughts
Thinking is the best way to train our brain, lacking in brain stimulation thoughts may cause brain shrinkage.
10. Talking Rarely
Intellectual conversations will promote the efficiency of the brain
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The main causes of liver damage are:
1. Sleeping too late and waking up too late are main cause.
2. Not urinating in the morning.
3. Too much eating.
4. Skipping breakfast.
5. Consuming too much medication.
6. Consuming too much preservatives, additives, food coloring, and artificial sweetener.
7. Consuming unhealthy cooking oil. As much as possible reduce cooking oil use when frying, which includes even the best cooking oils like olive oil.
Do not consume fried foods when you are tired, except if the body is very fit.
8. Consuming raw (overly done) foods also add to the burden of liver.
Veggies should be eaten raw or cooked 3-5 parts. Fried veggies should be finished in one sitting, do not store.
We should prevent this without necessarily spending more. We just have to adopt a good daily lifestyle and eating habits. Maintaining good eating habits and time condition are very important for our bodies to absorb and get rid of unnecessary chemicals according to "schedule."
Because:
Evening at 9 - 11pm: is the time for eliminating unnecessary/toxic chemicals (detoxification) from the antibody system (lymph nodes). This time duration should be spent by relaxing or listening to music. If during this time a housewife is still in an unrelaxed state such as washing the dishes or monitoring children doing their homework, this will have a negative impact on health.
Evening at 11pm - 1am : is the detoxification process in the liver, and ideally should be done in a deep sleep state.
Early morning 1 - 3am : detoxification process in the gall, also ideally done in a deep sleep state.
Early morning 3 - 5am : detoxification in the lungs. Therefore there will sometimes be a severe cough for cough sufferers during this time. Since the detoxification process had reached the respiratory tract, there is no need to take cough medicine so as not to interfere with toxin removal process.
Morning 5 - 7am : detoxification in the colon, you should empty your bowel.
Morning 7 - 9am : absorption of nutrients in the small intestine, you should be having breakfast at this time. Breakfast should be earlier, before 6:30am, for those who are sick. Breakfast before 7:30am is very beneficial to those wanting to stay fit. Those who always skip breakfast, they should change their habits, and it is still better to eat breakfast late until 9 - 10am rather than no meal at all.
Sleeping so late and waking up too late will disrupt the process of removing unnecessary chemicals. Aside from that, midnight to 4:00 am is the time when the bone marrow produces blood. Therefore, have a good sleep and don't sleep late.

Eyecare
Take care of your "delicate" eyes.
This info' is sure to help PC users very much.
During a recent visit to an optician, one of my friends was told of an
exercise for the eyes by a specialist doctor in the US that he termed as
20-20-20." It is apt for all of us, who spend long hours at our desks,
looking at the computer screen.
I Thought I'd share it with you. 20-20-20
Step I :-
After every 20 minutes of looking into the computer screen, turn your
head and try to look at any object placed at least 20 feet away. This
changes the focal length of your eyes, a must-do for the tired eyes.
Step II :-
Try and blink your eyes for 20 times in succession, to moisten them.
Step III :-
Time permitting of course, one should walk 20 paces after every 20 minutes
of sitting in one particular posture. Helps blood circulation for the entire body.
Circulate among your friends if you care for them and their eyes.
They say that your eyes are mirror of your soul, so do take care of them, they are priceless...
